Curriculum Information

Here at The Becket School we are committed to providing every young person with the knowledge, skills and understanding to help them achieve their individual aspirations and to be the very best version of themselves.

Our curriculum is based on a set of core objectives which are underpinned by the school’s Catholic ethos and three key principles: Gospel values, powerful knowledge and enrichment. You can read more about these in our school’s Statement of Curriculum Intent

In September 2020 we began the phased introduction of our knowledge rich curriculum – a curriculum specifically designed to be ambitious and to equip students with the knowledge they will need to be successful, productive citizens in the twenty-first century. Our curriculum has been designed with progress over time in mind, the focus firmly falling on how our students will develop their knowledge and understanding of each subject during their five or seven years with us.

Within this section you will find information about each of the subjects offered at The Becket School. The areas for each subject contain information about what is taught at each stage of our young people’s education, information about specifications and assessments and a statement of intent document.

If you require any further information about any aspect of the curriculum we offer, please do not hesitate to use the contact details supplied for each individual Leader of Learning or the contact form on the main page of the website.
