Chemistry Paper 2 - The rate and extent of chemical change; Organic chemistry; Chemical analysis; Chemistry of the atmosphere; and Using resources
Learners following the Separate Science pathway will sit three GCSEs, one each in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Each of these GCSEs offer the potential to sit Higher (grade 9 to 4) or Foundation (grade 5 to 1) papers.
How will my son or daughter be assessed? When do these assessments take place?
There are six examinations in the summer of Year 11: two for Biology, two for Chemistry and two for Physics.
Each exam will last 1 hour and 45 minutes and is worth 100 marks. The “Required Practicals” taught during lesson time will also be assessed on the exams.
