Who should take this course?
If you have a desire to learn and increase your knowledge about all aspects of Physical Education and Sport. Participation in at least one competitive sport is also essential.
What are the entry requirements?
GCSE Grade 5
What are the key topics and themes? When will
they be taught?
In Year 12 students will complete an AS Level covering the following topics. This will
be assessed in External Exams in June.

- Anatomy and Physiology
- Exercise Physiology
- Biomechanics
- Skill Acquisition
- Sports Psychology
- Sport and Society
How will students be assessed? 
When do these assessments take place?
In Year 13 students will cover extra topics to complete their A Level. This will again be assessed in External Exams in June.

For both years, students will be assessed in one practical activity and an Evaluating
and Analysing Performance task.
What can students do for revision at home? What materials are provided or available online?
All resources, including useful revision resources, will be found on Google Classroom to help consolidate students’ understanding.

materials for the whole course rather than this task alone.
